The old farm yard

The first thing that meets the visitor is the charming old farmyard consisting of 25 old farm houses, here you can find, among other things, a barn from the 16th century, a barn from 1650 as well as a forge and two stables.

The first coach station at Stalheim from around 1750, the beautiful Lofthus loft, and a small schoolroom from 1881 on the site.

The exhibition hall

In the exhibition hall, which consists of 2 floors, each measuring 300 square meters, the exhibitions are arranged thematically.

The different sections of the exhibition hall are dedicated to different aspects of the farmer's daily life over the last 300-150 years: the lower floor is dedicated to life on the farm; such as hunting and fishing. On the main floor, one section deals with baking, another with clothing, etc.

Lekvehuset

At the very top of the beautiful museum area towers the magnificent Lekvehuset from 1726. The mansion was moved up to Fuglehaugen from Lekve in Voss.

It has been wonderfully restored, both interior and exterior, to the way it appeared around 1750 - 1760. Lekvehuset shows that even in Voss one could find elements of continental culture and luxury.
