Stalheim Hotel
In 1885, the first hotel opened in Stalheim. The dramatic nature around the hotel is on the UNISCO world heritage list and has been an important stop on the journey of many tourists over the years, including monarchs and presidents.
For almost 100 years, the Tønneberg family has run and shaped the hotel and the museum that stands on Fuglehaugen behind the hotel.
We have two dining rooms, rooms for conferences and larger events, as well as 124 hotel rooms with a touch of the hotel's history. We want to offer our guests an excellent experience and want you on the team.
Experience nature
Today's hotel with Ingrid Tønneberg as owner and Thomas Stene as director has, in addition to maintaining the old innkeeper traditions, chosen "nature and culture" as the profile of the hotel.
With the magnificent nature that surrounds Stalheim, it goes without saying that experiencing nature is an important part of a visit to Stalheim. Whether you sit on the terrace in front of the hotel and let the wonderful view sink in over you, or you want to go on a mountain trip, we try to arrange the conditions as best as possible so that you have a good and lasting experience.
We also try to give our guests a taste of the many cultural treasures to be found at Stalheim. Former hotel director Kaare Tønneberg's impressive cultural history collections that are on display here at Stalheim alone can stand for great cultural experience readers, but in addition we draw heavily on our long and exciting history, on the National Romantic painters, on the author Per Sivle who was at home here at Stalheim, and many other exciting things could be mentioned.
