Trip to the old homestead Nåli

This tour is the classic hike in Stalheim - this tour is already mentioned in Professor Yngvar Nielsen's Travel Guide from 1890. Along the way, you have a magnificent view of the Stalheimsfossen waterfall and the Stalheimskleiva .
This tour follows partly a car/tractor road and partly a good path. The tour takes about 2 hours round trip and is considered an easy tour suitable for hikers of all ages. The elevation gain is about 250 meters. In wet weather, good footwear is recommended.
The hike is well marked and there are good information boards about the hike and the area both at Stalheim and in Nåli.
From Stalheim the hike goes up to Brekke and at the gate you turn right and go down the road and over the bridge to Sivle. From Sivle you then follow the path up towards Sivleshagen, under the red cabin and into the forest. The path from Sivleshagen to Nåli has been put in good condition in recent years and is easy to find.
The Nåli farmstead - circa 1910. Nåli is located halfway between Stalheim and Jordalen, and was inhabited and in operation until 1925/1930. Today, only the remains of one of the houses in Nåli can be seen.
