Fyrdesnipa

The hike is considered a little over medium demanding, and takes from 6 to 8 hours from Stalheim. Good footwear such as hiking boots is recommended. This hike can also be made shorter by driving out of Brekkedalen.

The trip starts with us following the road out of Brekkedalen in the same way as above. But when we reach Tverrhalsskaret (950 m above sea level), we turn off the road and now follow the old road between Voss / Vossestrand and Vik and Sogn in the direction of Stølsheimen. 

After about 1 hour on the road we turn off this road and start the actual ascent to Fyrdesnipa. The ascent is steep in places, but in no way difficult. Once up there, on clear days, we have a fantastic view over large parts of Stølsheimen, and towards Jostedalsbreen. The return journey follows the same route.
