Round trip via Jordalen and Brekkedalen

Here you have two options: Jordalen - Tverraldskaret - Brekkedalen - Stalheim, or vice versa.

The hike starts in Nåsen, and you follow the tractor road uphill for about 30 minutes until you cross the river on the first bridge on the left. Then you start the climb up towards the Haugane farm, and further towards Tverraldskaret. Take a break at Haugane and enjoy the beautiful view over the fertile Jordalen valley. From leaving Nåsen to Tverraldskaret, which is the highest point on the hike (about 950 m above sea level), there is about 400 meters of elevation gain.

When you come through Tverraldskaret, the beautiful Brekkedalen lies before you and from here it is a gentle downhill all the way back to Stalheim. Brekkedalen is a lush valley with many stables, and in the summer you will encounter sheep and goats as well as cows and horses on your way down the valley.

On the way down you pass through the farmsteads Kinnabakken and Storestølen and on the other side of the valley you see the farmsteads Mulen and Botnen. Take your time down through the valley and enjoy this magnificent valley.
